The brand-new Stansted Airport College is celebrating its 250^th confirmed trainee, as construction work on the site intensifies ahead of the planned opening this September.

Offer holders at the new Stansted Airport College took part in a treasure hunt during the Easter holidays, where several Easter eggs hidden on the College website revealed clues to an egg-citing competition!

A recent site visit to the new Stansted Airport College has seen huge leaps forward in the construction of the building.

Places are filling up fast at the new Stansted Airport College and we were delighted to welcome on board this week our 150th trainee.

Following the success of the recent open events at The Aerozone, Stansted Airport College is delighted to welcome on board Charlie McCarthy, who becomes our 100th trainee. Charlie will kick-start his career with us in September 2018.

Stansted Airport College and Harlow College jointly celebrated National Apprenticeship Week 2018 with a series of events across the region.

Following the success of the recent open events at The Aerozone, Stansted Airport College is excited to welcome on board the first intake of trainees for September 2018.

The Government has published its new Industrial Strategy – a blueprint for the future growth of Britain's productivity.

Both Harlow College and the new Stansted Airport College are mentioned in the white paper; the only colleges mentioned by name in the 250 page document, which focuses on five key areas for a transformed economy – ideas, people, infrastructure, business environment and places.

The document says: ‘The government has worked with Harlow College to open a new Advanced Manufacturing Centre and a base at Stansted Airport to train local workers in the skills required’ to carry out the Industrial Strategy.

Karen Spencer, Principal of Harlow College, said: ‘We are very proud that both Harlow and the College feature prominently in the Industrial Strategy. We have excellent partnerships with employers through our Advanced Manufacturing Centre and our new College site at Stansted Airport. These partnerships provide young people with that important first step on a career ladder, helping them to be more productive and have prosperous futures.’
